If Lisa Rinna thought she was going to have a smooth path when she joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills this season she must have gotten a reality check pretty quickly. Not only do these ladies take awhile to warm up to the proverbial new girl, but they also don't always want to hear the truth even if it's coming from a good place. Rinna revealed today that she almost didn't sign on to do the show at all.

The reality star stopped to chat about the show on Live! With Kelly and Michael and she confided that her husband, Harry Hamlin's reaction almost caused her to back out of doing the series.

"I went to Harry and said I'm thinking about [doing RHOBH] and he looked at me and said, 'If you do this show, I'll divorce you.' He comes to me a day later and he goes - and you've met him, he's very mellow, very low-key - and he said, 'I've thought about this and I think it'll be a good idea if you did it.' He went through it. And I was like 'OK.' And there you are!" explained Rinna. Her 18-year marriage to Hamlin obviously meant far more than a paycheck from Bravo, but in the end she got to have both.

The RHOBH's reunion just filmed last weekend in L.A. and Rinna managed to survive. This season, she learned that calling Kim Richards on her stuff never really ends in a good way. Rinna claims that she cornered Richards on her sobriety out of pure concern and doesn't regret it at all. That might be the main way that this star differs from all of the others, she owns her stuff and thinks that life is too short to live in a reality tv fake bubble.

How do you think that Rinna handled her first season in the mix? Are you hoping that she's invited back for another? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
