Kanye West has had a very busy month. He's released new music, performed at the Grammys, SNL 40, and the BRIT Awards, put on a buzzed-about New York Fashion Week show, debuted his Adidas shoe line, given very insightful interviews, and finally apologized to Beck and Bruno Mars. Now he's topping off a productive February with some new ink.

Last night, his wife Kim Kardashian posted photos to Instagram of 'Ye getting tatted up. The new ink is simple and sentimental — the birthdates of his daughter North West and his late mother Donda's in Roman numerals.

"Four in the mornin' and he's zonin'," Kardashian captioned an Instagram photo (see above) of West in the process of getting one tattoo, referencing his song "Black Skinhead."

Adding, "I talked him out of getting a face tattoo....for now," in a second Instagram photo of a tattoo on his hairline.

When all was said and done, she posted a third photo to Twitter of the finished product.

"He got it on his wrists instead," she wrote. His mothers birthdate and North's birthdate in Roman numerals."

These tattoos aren't the only tribute West has given his daughter and mother. He and Paul McCartney penned the song "Only One," which was written from the point of view of his mother, Donda, talking to West about his "angels" Nori and Kim.

West is currently at work on his follow-up to 2013's Yeezus. He debuted his song "All Day" earlier this week at the BRIT Awards and has previously released the songs "Only One," "FourFiveSeconds," and "Wolves." No album release date has been set, though he told Zane Lowe yesterday that he is hard at work finishing it.

"[I'm] just working hard on it, and it's fun, it's fun to work hard and we're being inventive and I've still got a lot of opinions and perspectives that are important and could be inspiring to people that fight," he told him. "College Dropout, the album, came out of a fight to want to rap and this new album's coming out of a fight to want to design ... it's a joyful noise unto the Lord. It is still the struggle, but the beauty from the struggle. The song 'Amazing Grace,' coming out of the worst pain possible and making the most beautiful song possible. I want to perform 'Only One' as many times as possible."
