Three years after pop-singer Carly Rae Jepsen's smash-hit "Call Me Maybe," she has finally released a follow-up new song titled "I Really Like You."

Just when "Call Me Maybe" was finally out of your head, Jepsen released another catchy tune. But this time, Jepsen covers a more serious relationship issue then giving a random guy her phone number.

"I Really like You" is about what to say between I like you and I love you. The way to say that, according to Jepsen's infectious chorus, is: "I really really really really really really like you." Jepsen wonders for the rest of the song whether if her boyfriend feels the same way or not.

Jepsen's enthusiastic, girlish voice still creates the optimism and giddy feelings that drove "Call Me Maybe" to the top of the charts. She is clearly influenced by Taylor Swift's electro-pop album 1989. "I Really Like You" is in the same vein as Swift's "Welcome to New York" and "Style."

But few expected Jepsen to reach the high standards again that "Call Me Maybe" set. "I Really Like You" is pretty close.

"I told her that she couldn't come out with anything unless it was on the level of 'Call Me Maybe,'" Jepsen's manager Scooter Braun said in an interview with Billboard. "And now we have a new one that is on that level."

The 29-year-old pop star had been absent from music for a while, but she kept busy. She played Cinderella on Broadway in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella in early 2014 alongside sitcom star Fran Drescher.

Jepsen apparently has more tricks up her sleeve for her comeback, according to Entertainment Weekly. Jepsen has recruited Tom Hanks and Justin Bieber for her "I Really Like You" music video.
