Fresh off her "Love Me Like You Do" success, U.K. singer Ellie Goulding decided to take on the challenge of covering Hozier's "Take Me to Church." Ellie Goulding puts an understated, electronic twist onto the brooding rock hit that put Irish singer-songwriter Hozier on the map. Goulding rivals Annie Lennox's performance of a medley of "Take Me to Church" and "I Put a Spell on You" at the 2015 Grammys.

She lets her distinct voice carry the song by adding emotion that is lacking in Hozier's version. The electronic beat pulses gently throughout Goulding's cover without threatening to overwhelm it, which creates a haunting effect.

Goulding's latest original song, "Love Me Like You Do," which she wrote for the titillating film 50 Shades of Grey has been firmly on Billboard's Hot 100 chart for eight weeks and is currently ranked at No. 4.

But in the past year, Goulding has been in the press mostly for her relationships with other musicians and singer-songwriters, such as Ed Sheeran, who probably wrote "Don't" about her, and Calvin Harris. But she does not intend to have that be the focus on her next LP.

"The mindset I'm in the moment is, I don't necessarily see myself writing about relationships again or my personal life," Goulding told Rolling Stone. "It's not something that's my priority anymore, and it's weird when that happens, because I've forever written about my personal life and forever written about relationships."

The singer's new LP is due sometime in 2015. The last album that Goulding released was in 2013, when she reissued Halcyon Days and added 10 tracks to it.
