Maddie Walker was in visible pain last week on American Idol, and after she sang "She's Country" by Jason Aldean, she was escorted off stage by a doctor. Taste of Country reports that former contestant Savion Wright tweeted that Walker ruptured her appendix (the post has since been deleted). Scott Borchetta denied the rumors, but not much else is known about Walker's ongoing condition.

"She still doesn't know what it is," the mentor said. "She's still feeling a little bit weird but a ton better than last week. We really don't know what it was, but there was something around her appendix that was irritated."

Walker, the resident country singer, will perform tomorrow along with Daniel Seavey, Tyanna Jones, Jax, Rayvon Owen, Qaasim Middleton, Clark Beckham, Quentin Alexander, Joey Cook, Adanna Duru and Nick Fradiani. The theme is Movie Night.

Borchetta added that Fradiani, the oldest contestant left, is a "dark horse" to win the competition.

"You can feel that he is getting ready for a breakout performance and I think this week and next week will really determine the momentum that Nick has for the season," he said about the singer.

Last week, Borchetta said that he agreed with the results so far this season. He echoed the sentiments of the judges that the Season 14 crew has some serious talent.

"I think so far, America is really getting it right," he said, adding, "The ones that truly have an artistic vision are ones who have something to say, are hardworking, want to engage you in their life and their art ... Those are the ones that become iconic."
