David Crosby hit a pedestrian with his car going 55 mph over the weekend. The singer said he was temporarily blinded by the sun while cruising in Santa Ynez, California, when he hit Jose Jimenez, who was jogging with his son. According to Billboard, Jimenez's injuries are not life-threatening.

Crosby stopped the car immediately after hitting the jogger and called for medical assistance. The California Highway Patrol said that Crosby was not under the influence of any drugs or alcohol, and he was driving the speed limit. Officials are still investigating the incident, but charges against the singer look unlikely.

"David Crosby is obviously very upset that he accidentally hit anyone," a spokesperson for Crosby said. "And, based off of initial reports, he is relieved that the injuries to the gentleman were not life threatening. He wishes the jogger a very speedy recovery."

The singer was driving a 2015 Tesla sedan when the accident occurred.

Last year, Crosby released his fourth solo album, Croz. It hit number 36 on the Billboard 200 and received mostly positive reviews.

"I wanted to challenge myself," he told Rolling Stone in 2013. "Most guys my age would have done a covers record or duets on old material. This won't be a huge hit. It'll probably sell nineteen copies. I don't think kids are gonna dig it, but I'm not making it for them. I'm making it for me. I have this stuff that I need to get off my chest."

As for Crosby, Stills & Nash, the group will hit the road in April for a lengthy trek that stretches through October. Don't expect to see Neil Young with the band anytime soon - if at all - though. The guitarist said at a gig last year that CSNY would never tour again. Young and Crosby seemingly have a problem with each other since the latter made remarks about the former's personal life.
