G-Unit stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night to perform "I'm Grown" - a cut from the group's new EP The Beast is G-Unit. The Roots joined 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, Kidd Kidd and Tony Yayo for the new single as well. All the guys showed up in prime form.

"Yeah, I got my own business, I make my own deals / N***as ain't on it like I'm on it, I own shit / I got my own Bentley, I got my own Rolls / I'm a pimp, b*tch, I own hoes," 50 Cent rattles off at the top of the song. Young Buck comes in on a "f*ck you" chorus before dropping his own verse. Lloyd Banks follows him, leading the way to an explosive Kidd Kidd rhyming spree. G-Unit went on hiatus following the release of 2008's T.O.S. (Terminate on Sight), the group's second studio effort. Young Buck and 50 Cent sorted out their differences though, and the rap crew reunited last year to start working on new music. The group dropped its return EP, The Beauty of Independence, in August.

"Even if their musical output is moving in the right direction, there's still an uncertain future for 50 Cent and G-Unit. Maintaining a connection to today's rap audience and staying relevant isn't easy, but Fif has managed to spark interest again for his crew who once ran the show," XXL wrote about the EP

In an October interview with Rolling Stone, 50 Cent explained that he had grown disinterested with The Unit until Tony Yayo said a few things publicly about it. The stress of managing the group and each individual member's solo career wasn't easy for the rap mogul.

The leader also explained that in order to keep the reunion going, he postponed the release of his solo effort, Street King Immortal. That album is reportedly due out sometime this year.
