The beat from Beyoncé's super sexualized song "Partition" was just begging for a rap remix, and now the inevitable has happened. Today (Jan. 10), Busta Rhymes and Azealia Banks released their remix of "Partition," and it's just as sizzling as one would imagine.
The fact that Busta and Banks collaborated on this track should come as no surprise to rap music fans, as the two rappers hinted at a collaboration just after the new year. "By the way me and @AzealiaBanks just made a banger," Busta tweeted on Jan. 2. "Me and Busta Rhyms have some fire for the streets!!!! LOL it's gonna blow ya minds!!!!!" Banks wrote.
The result is this remix, which is in fact "banging." The new version of "Partition" takes out Beyoncé's turns on the verses and instead hands the reins over to Busta and Banks. Although already X-rated in the original version (so much so that Bey won't let her mom listen to the track), the two rappers turned things up.
"I'm alarmed at how she's looking and she's starting to breathe / Took my arm and grabbed my John and now she's starting to squeeze / She dropped to her knees / Fulfilling my needs / She swallowed my seed / She's ready to go," Busta explicitly raps within the track's first minute.
Banks continues the sexual lyrics in her turn, which is creepy and winding, working perfectly with the deep, subdued beat of Beyoncé's original.
