Last night, Pharrell stopped by The Tonight Show to talk to Jimmy Fallon about the fact that he owes some of his success in the industry to the many artists who came before him. Possibly in reference to his current controversy with Marvin Gaye's family, he acknowledged that a R&B duo from the '80s was one of his biggest inspirations. Fallon just so happened to be a fan of theirs as well. Their names were Afro & Deziak, and they used to appear on the show American Power Hour. Fallon said he dug "through a cage full of tapes down in the basement" and found a clips of their performances. And what do ya know? They looked a lot like the "Happy" singer and Tonight Show host.

Dawning wigs and glitzy suits, Fallon and Pharrell performed the fictional tunes "Girl, I'm Gunna Get You In The Mood" and "Girl I Wanna Give You What I Got" and simply "Girl."

Some of the best lines includes:

"Girl, can you pay my rent this month?" "Girl, can you plan a baby shower for my boss' daughter?" "Girl, can you cover my shift at IHOP?" "Girl, let's go camping with my uncle!" "Girl, can you take a drug test for me?" and "Girl, can you and your friends carry a foosball table up six flights of stairs to my bud's apartment?"

What lady could resist a man with those sexy needs?

Following their little bit, Fallon Pharrell chatted with Fallon about the latest artists he's been working with, including Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Maxine Ashley and Missy Elliott.

"Her mind-the way her mind works," he said about Elliott. "We're in the studio and just the things that she says and thinks about her video concepts -- I didn't know that all those video concepts were hers. I'm so proud of her."

About the "Work It" lyric "Ti esrever dna ti pilf nwod gniht ym tup I," Pharrell said, "I don't know who's idea that was between her and Timbaland, but those are two geniuses, I can tell you that."
