Nirvana fans have a little more than a month to wait until the release of the new documentary Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck. The film is the first of its kind, considering it was done with Cobain's family's blessing. In a new teaser for the doc, a few of Nirvana's alternative band names are shown as the group provides some background music.

Here are a few of Cobain's early considerations:

The Reaganites, Fecal Matter, Hare Lip, Erectum, Seringe, Elvis Cooper, Skid Row (before Sebastian Bach's group), Boy in Heat, Labido, The Mandibles, Cold and Wet, Bliss, Window Pain, Drugs for Sale, Smell Fish, Man Bug, Godchild, Novacain, Breed, Perkidan and Re-Hash.

The clip ends with the winning name, Nirvana. Check out the video below, via The Guardian.

According to Rolling Stone, two other considerations for a name included Ted Ed Fred and Pen Cap Chew.

The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January. It received mixed reviews.

"Brett Morgen's documentary is more than just a must-see for Nirvana fans. It's an eight-years-in-the-making collective labor of love that offers a private peek into the artist's mind, from the first creative stirrings to the spiral downward," RS wrote. "And by the time you get to the final shot of Kurt thanking the audience at the band's MTV Unplugged show, you don't just feel as if you've gotten to know the man better. You're left completely emotionally spent."

The first trailer for the film dropped last month. Check that out here.

Montage of Heck is heading for a limited theatrical release April 10. It will premiere on HBO May 4.
