Morrissey's last two attempts at a tour in North America haven't gone so well, as both were cut short by illness. The vocalist has announced a new run however and we're hoping that third time is indeed the charm. Although a constant opener hasn't been announced yet, Blondie has been named as a one-night opener for Moz's show at Madison Square Garden in New York, while Amanda Palmer will open for the closing night of the run in San Jose (from Pitchfork).

The last tour in support of his most recent album, World Peace Is None of Your Business, had the plug pulled when Morrissey alleged to have been infected by tour opener Kristeen Young, who called BS, noting that she had allergies and not anything infectious. The vocalist would later reveal that he had been undergoing treatment for cancer, which made him slightly more sympathetic to audiences. NME reports that he managed to complete all of the dates in his homeland, and reported being rather happy with the results (an unusual thought from Morrissey).
