It has been two months since we learned that Diane Sawyer was the journalist who managed to score the first interview with Bruce Jenner about his transitioning, and it now has an air date. ABC has finally announced that it will air the two hour, sit-down interview April 24. That means that after about 18 months of assumptions, jokes and insinuations, we will finally get to hear the truth from Jenner himself. He will reveal his new look and name.

The interview itself was reportedly taped several months ago, even before Jenner's car crash in early February that claimed the life of Kim Howe. The Olympic champion has been in the process of gender reassignment for a long time now, and in the last week it has been rumored that he recently had a breast augmentation done. If you have been tuning in to the latest season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, then you already know that aside from Jenner's appearance changing, his voice is also completely different -- almost unrecognizable.

He was spotted hiking on Easter Sunday in Malibu, wearing layers that seemed to intentionally cover his body. Many outlets are reporting that Jenner will reveal his new look as well as his new name during the interview with Sawyer.

E! has also filmed a lot of footage of Jenner's transformation, including doctor's appointments, and it is all expected to air later this year in the form of a docuseries. That project was originally given a May airdate, but Jenner insisted that it be pushed back because his sons still have not completely accepted the fact that he is going through with a sex change.
