Kanye West and Tim McGraw both listed on Time 100: The Most Influential People are now slated to perform at the Time 100 Gala , today, April 21 at New York City's Jazz at the Lincoln Center.

West and McGraw will perform at the gala, celebrating people who are changing the world, Rolling Stone reported. Time's contributing editor Jon Meacham shared insight to why McGraw made the influential list.

"He moves between genres with the same down-to-earth grace that's always on display at the Nashville high school football games he never misses," Mecham said according to Rolling Stone. "McGraw's a kind of Renaissance man in a cowboy hat, and it's clear he's got a lot of life left to live and art still to make-good news for the rest of us."

West was one of influential people on Time's list and was placed on the magazine's cover. The So Help Me God rapper is listed under the Titans category joined by Lorne Michaels, Mellody Hobson, Tim Cook, Elizabeth Holmes, Charles Koch & David Koch, Susan Wojcicki, Chanda Kochhar, Tony Fernandes, Lee Daniels, Reid Hoffman and his wife Kim Kardashian West.

In a submission on Time's site regarding West's influence, the author declares, "Now that he's a pop-culture juggernaut, he has the platform to achieve just that. He's not afraid of being judged or ridiculed in the process. Kanye's been playing the long game all along, and we're only just beginning to see why."

McGraw was listed under the Artists section of the list accompanied by fellow artists, Bradley Cooper, Richard Linklater, Chris Ofili, Julianna Margulies, Amy Schumer, Alexander Wang, Jill Soloway, Chris Pratt, Audra McDonald, Tim McGraw, Kevin Hard, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Julianne Moore, Christopher Nolan, Marie Kondo and John Oliver.
