Vince Staples put out a new song yesterday, "Señorita," but it was more than just another drop: The track will also be the first single from the performer's first album, Summertime '06, which is due out on June 30. The record was produced by No I.D., according to Pitchfork.

It may come as as a surprise to some that Staples hasn't actually released a full-length LP yet. As has been the trend with many up-and-coming rappers, EPs have gotten just as much attention from the press (see Chance The Rapper's Acid Rap EP from 2013...now the emcee is headlining the Pitchfork Music Festival without having ever released an official LP). Staples also got plenty of attention for his own Hell Can Wait, an EP released during the latter half of 2014. Of course, he's only 21 so it's not like he's been sitting on this for forever.

None of his singles up to this point have charted, but those in the know have salivated at tracks such as "Blue Suede" and "Hands Up," as well as his lengthy guest verse on Earl Sweatshirt's "Hive" during 2013.

Summertime '06 will be released on Def Jam.

The new single, "Señorita," features the production duo Christian Rich, who also contributed to the emcee's track "High" last month.
