Katy Perry is still riding high off her latest album Prism, but according to her manager, the pop star's fourth full-length is also in the works and might be here within the next eight months. According to Idolator, her manager Steven Jensen made the announcement while speaking at the All That Matters music and entertainment conference in Singapore this week.

"She plans to release her next album by 2016," he told those in attendance.

Maybe he meant to say by the end of 2016, because how exactly he and Perry plan to pull that off is another story. The singer doesn't wrap up her Prismatic World Tour until October, which wouldn't leave much time to put it all together and promote by the end of 2015.

Plus in an interview with the AP, she said she wanted to reinvent herself for her next album, and that obviously takes some time to do, not mere months.

"I also think it's important for me to maybe start reinventing myself," she told the AP. "Because I can't keep topping myself because I'll just combust at some point. You can't keep topping yourself when you're at such a height. There's only one Mount Everest and once you've reached it, it's like where do you go from there? You've just got to sail somewhere else."

We have our fingers crossed, however, that Perry's team has it all under control so that fans get a nice holiday gift this year.
