Finally, after weeks of scandal swirling around their family, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are going to give an interview regarding their son Josh Duggar's admitted molestation of family members. While their reality show, 19 Kids & Counting, has been shelved for the time being, TLC still has yet to formally cancel it, even with advertisers dropping like flies. It seems that the network may be waiting to see how the Duggar's interview with Megyn Kelly resonates with viewers after it airs tonight at 9 p.m. on Fox News.

According to an exclusive report by Deadline, Kelly herself pursued this interview. " I reached out to them and made the case I was the best for the job. I specifically told their representative, 'You know my reputation. I've never been accused of giving anyone a pass and I'm not going to give them a pass. If you want a soft place to fall, I'm not your person... I think it's a service to you to have me ask tough questions'. I think this is the Duggars' effort to try to get out from under that pressure cooker. They very much understand their show and reputation are on the line. I think they knew they needed to speak to somebody and get their story out," explains the Fox News anchor.

While Kelly clearly hasn't given these two a pass or any way out of answering those questions that even their most devoted fans have also found themselves asking, can it possibly be enough to save the show? The Duggar's reality show has been rooted in the notion that this family is a great role model for some, even while being quite critical and judgmental of those who live differently from their ideals. Now that we all know that they covered up their son's bad behavior, basically sacrificing their daughters well-being in the process, is there any real way that they can come back from that?
