Music fans in Los Angeles are going to have to travel quite some way if they want to go to Jay Z's Made in America festival this year. Though in 2014, the Budweiser-sponsored concert series went bi-coastal, for its fourth year, Made in America is scrapping its L.A. date and heading to Hova's hometown of New York City for some free shows.

The Los Angeles incarnation of Made in America last year included performances from Kanye West, Imagine Dragons, John Mayer and more. However, gripes about an oddly curated lineup, noise complaints and a contentious economic benefit for the City of Angels cause the festival to retreat back to its Philadelphia home, The Los Angeles Times reports.

In a story on Billboard that has since been taken down, it was revealed that Made in America will instead hold a concurrent Labor Day concert series across New York City. The NYC shows will be anchored by Mary J. Blige performing on Liberty Island.

"This is not at all a stepping back - this is a reevaluation of the model of going from one location to two to three," Budweiser VP of marketing Brian Perkins said in an interview with Billboard. "We're a very ambitious brand, and we have a very ambitious partner in Jay Z, who also dreams big. And we always want to do big, bold things with music under the moniker of Budweiser Made In America."

Made in America 2015 is confirmed to take place from Sept. 5 to 6 in Philadelphia. A lineup has not yet been announced.
