It looks like Bill Cosby is willing to say just about anything in an attempt to protect himself from any more embarrassment. Earlier this week the fallen funny man was in court with his attorney trying to keep the details of a sexual assault case that he settled back in 2005, from being revealed to the public. Cosby told the court that he is not a public figure and that there would be no interest in what these sealed documents might contain. Instead, if released they would inevitably cause embarrassment. Ironically, it's actually the Associated Press that is trying to get motions from this lawsuit unsealed in order to bolster the claims by a multitude of women that paint Cosby as a chronic sexual predator.

According to a report by NBC News, "The lawsuit accused Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting the woman at Cosby's home. The settlement is confidential. Cosby's lawyer argued that his client's deposition could reveal details of Cosby's marriage, sex life and prescription drug use. "It would be terribly embarrassing for this material to come out," lawyer George M. Gowen III argued.

Cosby also fears that unsealing these vital documents could easily interfere with a defamation lawsuit that is pending against him in Massachusetts. Ironically, the victim in the suit that Cosby settled isn't objecting to the records being unsealed. Only the comedian himself is and he is obviously taking great steps to try and prevent further embarrassment.

Do you think that, if unsealed, these records will be damning evidence against the comedian? Do you think that he might have admitted to some of his alleged bad behavior and if that proof is released then it will work against all of his denials now? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
