After suffering a fall off stage in Sweden and an eventual broken leg, the Foo Fighters were forced to cancel a series of European tour dates including a Glastonbury headliner. Not allowing Dave Grohl's injury to halt any further gigs, the group has shut down any possibility of cancelling what looked like a doubtful North American tour and will trudge on to play the series of shows as planned.

The former Nirvana drummer refused to throw in the towel during the performance that led to his broken leg, even gritting his teeth through the pain and continuing to finish out the set while a cast was applied, so we can't say we're surprised the rocker is already back in action for a full tour. Florence and the Machine stepped up to fill the shoes of the Foo Fighters for Glastonbury's headline set, but that doesn't go without saying how humble Florence Welch was. They launched into a cover of "Times Like These" in tribute to the Foo. "Dave if you're listening, we love you. We all love you," Welch told the crowd. Although they missed the 2015 festival, it seems they are the bookies' favorites to headline Glastonbury 2016 and are allegedly already booked for the gig.

Kicking off with a 20th anniversary performance in Washington DC on the Fourth of July, the band enthusiastically announced the news via twitter with, "Can't f***ing wait for the 4th!!! See you at home, DC." The gig will draw performances from friends and fellow musicians such as Joan Jett, Gary Clark Jr., Heart, LL Cool J, Buddy Guy, Trombone Shorty and local favorites Trouble Funk, notes Spin.

The mini-fest has a few strange requests, however. According to a prohibited item list, the concert promoters put a ban on items such as selfie sticks, cameras and animals as well as the eccentric list of "missile/projectile-like-objects," "uncured meats of any kind," "weird weapons that may have been used on the show Vikings, and copies of Boys' Life magazine. If you plan to stop by the RFK stadium that Saturday, seek refuge from all of the above.
