It has been only a week since Bobbi Kristina Brown's family confirmed that she had been taken off of her life support medication and moved to a hospice facility. Yet, in the days since, we have seen Brown's estate file a $40 million suit against her live-in boyfriend, Nick Gordon, and the Roswell DA's office has confirmed that they are viewing this tragedy "with renewed interest". Gordon may have hustled himself off to rehab a few months back, but apparently staying sober is proving to be a bit of a challenge. Surely he realizes the uphill legal battle ahead as he has already hired Casey Anthony's former attorney, Jose Baez, to help him moving forward.
Once he left rehab back in May, Gordon quickly surfaced at his mother's home in Florida, where he seems to now be residing. According to a report by The Daily Mail, Gordon's progress is problematic and he is spending more and more time with 49-year-old Heather Posey. "I've seen them drinking together at her house. He portrays himself as a good citizen, grieving and whatever but I've seen him losing his temper. I've seen him drunk as a skunk, falling down drunk. That plastic cup that he carries round with him is full of vodka," a close source explained to the newspaper.
Since Gordon reportedly spent years battling addiction right along with Brown, it's probably not too surprising that he is having a hard time staying sober now that his life is in total chaos. It's interesting that he retained Baez to help him fight whatever legal battles are around the corner.
