Independence Day celebrations weren't all Billy Joel had on his mind this Fourth of July--the singer/songwriter took the opportunity to explain to longtime girlfriend Alexis Roderick how much he loves her just the way she is by marrying at his Long Island home.

The 66-year-old piano man and 33-year-old former Morgan Stanley executive "surprised guests at their annual July 4th party by exchanging vows in front of their family and close friends," notes People. Leading the ceremony was longtime friend of Joel, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. The guest list spanned from actor Kevin James to Joel's daughter from his previous marriage to model Christie Brinkley, Alex Ray.

The couple first met in a Huntington restaurant in 2009 and this summer, they'll be expecting their first baby, notes the New York Post. "Billy is thrilled to become a dad again," a friend told People. It's rumored that the two will have a baby girl, though Joel's spokesman said that they "opted to keep any further details of her pregnancy under wraps until their new addition makes an official debut." Former wife Christie Brinkley posted her sincerest wishes to the happy newlyweds via Instagram.

"Congratulation to the glowing bride and groom," she said. " And to my daughter Alexa, who has a wonderful friend in Alexis! Wishing the growing family every happiness!" His three previous marriages were to Brinkley, Elizabeth Weber Small and Katie Lee, notes UltimateClassicRock. Having recently played his 65th gig at Madison Square Garden, Joel beat out Elton John in the record of most concerts held at the famous arena. New Yorker Billy Joel will go on to perform a sold-out Fenway Park gig on July 16.
