Atlanta has been a bed of hip-hop for a long time so it is fitting that the city has a well-established festival devoted to the genre. The five-day A3C Festival is one of the city's biggest events, notably for hip-hop, and over the next few months, it will be rolling out its lineup of speakers and artists who will perform there. The first wave of acts slated to perform at A3C include De La Soul, Rakim, Cyhi Da Prynce, Cam'ron, Curren$y and his Jet Life crew and others.

Also included in the first wave of acts Dame Dash, Jean Grae, Pharoahe Monch and Just Blaze, who is apparently having some communication issues with A3C about his booking.

According to tweets earlier today, Just Blaze expressed his confusion about being put on the bill. The famed hip-hop producer, DJ is all for working out the final details, but the announcement clearly surprised him.

The second wave of artists will be announced in August.

The A3C Festival and Conference is entering its 11th year in Atlanta, Georgia. The five-day event will take place from Oct. 7-11 with over 500 established and up-and-coming artists performing over that time period.

In addition to the many musical performances, there will also be a more thoughtful component with a litany of different artists, industry experts, academics and professionals. There will be a variety of panels, workshops exhibits, mixers and keynote addresses.

Tickets are on sale now starting a bargain price of $130 for the festival and then the same price for the conference. That is half of what you will pay for one of the top tier festivals like Coachella, Ultra or Lolla.
