Nathan Williams of the pop-punk outfit Wavves blasted a series of tweets earlier this week in response to his current feud with Warner Brothers. Recently finishing two albums, including a collaboration with The Cloud Nothings, Williams' battle with his label has quickly escalated.

Including heated sentiments like "I hate you" on his official Twitter page, Wavves' front man, famed for catchy tracks like "Beat Me Up" and "California Goths," appears to be testing the waters in terms of his relationship with his "succubus" record label. Sharing allegations that his creative rights are being violated in regards to the release of Wavves' forthcoming full-length, tentatively titled V, Williams spontaneously shared the album art for while telling Warner Brothers, "You don't scare me."

Clearly frustrated, Williams' rants suggest that things between him and his label might have soured past the point of no return. Accusing Warner Brothers of seeing him "as a money sign," Williams posted a promise via Twitter that he would post a link to a new track, "Way Too Much." Once he did so, the track was pulled by SoundCloud due to copyright infringement.

In response, Wavves tweeted, "Hey, gonna try to sue me if I use the art I already had, so here's my art," he stated, later adding "What u gonna do with me now?" Details related to his label's official response have yet to surface. As the things settle from his latest series of Twitter rants, fans continue to anticipate V's release.

Wavves' next step remains unknown. Perhaps he will be shopping for a new label in advance of his fall 2015 tour.
