Though Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert may have gotten a divorce, country music's stars have no time for your gossip. Shortly after the genre's reigning couple announced that they would be splitting after four years of marriage, rumors ran rampant that Lambert had engaged in an affair with fellow singer Chris Young, and now the "I'm Comin' Over" singer has denied those claims.

Though the news of Shelton and Lambert's split is a mere 24 hours old, sites from TMZ to Radar Online have spread word that the cause of the divorce was infidelity on Lambert's part. Shelton reportedly was the one to file for divorce, with sources saying that Lambert had stepped out on him with a fellow country singer (presumably Young) and later with another non-singing fellow.

However, those claims seem to be untrue, as Young dismissed the rumors that he and Lambert had engaged in an affair in a candid Instagram post.

"I don't normally address gossip but in this case I will. My name has been mentioned as a contributing factor in Blake and Miranda's divorce. That is totally FALSE," Young wrote. "They are both my friends and I would not betray that friendship. Just wanted to clear that up. Love you guys. - CY"

After months of rumors, Shelton and Lambert announced their divorce yesterday (July 20), separating after four years of marriage. The two did not cite a reason, though in a joint statement, they expressed sorrow about the situation. "This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy heart that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real family, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter," the former couple said.
