Fans who want to know a little more about legendary rockers U2 will get an inside peek at the band and its iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour this fall. Today (July 30), HBO announced that it will produce a documentary and concert film starring the "Song for Someone" band for November.

According to a press release, HBO will first release an "unprecedented access" filled documentary about U2, set for release on Nov. 7. Featuring interviews with all four band members, the yet-to-be titled documentary will focus on the creation and execution of U2's iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour, which "reinvented the arena show." The documentary will also focus on the hardships U2 faced leading up to the worldwide trek, including Bono's serious bicycling accident last fall.

If the feature length documentary isn't enough for you, HBO will follow up the documentary with a live concert film. Set to be filmed at U2's Nov. 14 show at the Bercy Arena in Paris, the concert film will air the same day as the show.

Produced by Done and Dusted, the concert movie promises to show off U2's expansive setlist as well as the grand theatrics on the tour that features a giant floor-to-wall length LED screen, multiple moving stages and groundbreaking surround sound systems.

"U2 continues to take risks, which has made them one of the most consistently exciting forces in rock'n'roll," said Lombardo. "The one-two combination of this documentary special, followed by the concert, will provide viewers with the ultimate look at this remarkable band behind the scenes and on the stage."

U2's HBO partnership and tour follow the release of the band's latest album Songs of Innocence, which was released by surprise on Sept. 9 during an Apple presentation.
