One Direction is no longer the only thing Zayn Malik left in 2015 - he's also called off his engagement. Today (Aug. 4), reports came out that the recent RCA Records signee and his Little Mix fiancée Perrie Edwards have called it quits.

Malik contacted Edwards two weeks ago to tell her that their engagement was off, and that while both the singers are currently in Los Angeles, they have not seen each other, a source told People. The source also noted that the last few weeks have been tough for Edwards but that she's carrying on to promote Little Mix's new music in the U.S.

"She's been putting on a brave face as Little Mix have had promotion to do, but she's obviously devastated," the source said. "Perrie's being supported by her bandmates, but she's really in pieces about this."

The news seems to be at least semi-confirmed by Edwards' Little Mix bandmate Jesy Nelson, who posted a photo of Edwards as her "woman crush Wednesday" yesterday (Aug. 3). Edwards is notably not wearing her engagement ring on her left ring finger.

Phwoooaaarrrrr my WCW even though it's not Wednesday my Perrie winkle!!!!

Malik and Edwards became engaged in August 2013 after beginning dating in early 2012. Despite being engaged for two years, the two had yet to set a wedding date.

It's a big year of changes for Malik, who quit his longtime boy band One Direction in March. Malik also recently signed on to RCA Records for his debut solo album.
