Although the whole hip hop world has been glued to what has been taking place between rappers Drake and Meek Mill with their ongoing beef. It would appear that the two going back and forth has re-energized something that had been long been missing from the rap game. Drake and Mill's public falling out has has helped to reawaken the competitive nature that has been lying dormant within hip hop for a while now. Apparently, that this is all about to change as iconic Brooklyn rapper, Yasiin Bey, formerly known as Mos Def, took to You Tube to challenge his fellow rappers to a rap battle. Lupe Fiasco took to Instagram to accept Mos' open invitation.

Earlier in the week, Mos posted a video showing how he is annoyed by the male show of ego by Drake and Meek for their battle of supremacy with diss records saying, he, Black Thought and King Los challenged anybody that wants to go heads up in a rap battle.

Mos elaborates, "Red Bull Music Academy put a mill on that and we'll give our winnings to charity and take your money, too. Tired of these dudes pretending like they dope. You all right, but relax, we don't need to make no back and forth corny records about it, we can put it on its feet for the world to see... We'll battle anyone I don't care who you tell. Let's go for any set, any time. Champion sound, for real. The word is out, let's go."

It didn't take long for fellow emcee Lupe fiasco to answer the call and accept the challenge via his social media with the below post.

Fiasco recently penned an open letter to Drake and Mill about ghostwriting in rap and how it is has always existed. When he accepted Mos's challenge, he even jotted down a few bars taking slight aim at Drake and his alleged ghostwriter, Quentin Miller, in the above post.

From the sound of it, if this battles comes to fruition, it could definitely be a win-win situation for hip hop and artists alike. Would you tune in?
