Canadian four-piece rock band, Metric, has unveiled the music video for their new single, "The Shade." The track is taken from the group's upcoming album, Pagans In Vegas. The video pieces together some quick stutter editing of stunning scenes in nature around the world with clips of the band in various environments.

"The Shade" was the first single released by the group from their forthcoming sixth LP. The 12-track LP will be released on Sept. 18 through the group's own label, MMI Records.

This project is filled with homages to acts that have inspired the band over the years like Kraftwerk, The Cure, Depeche Mode and New Order.

"The songs that made it onto Pagans in Vegas weren't written with an overarching concept in mind," says producer Jimmy Shaw, "With this record we were making music for the joy of it...we tried to be as bold as possible. All we want is to feel like all we got didn't cost us everything, even if we never win."

The band just wrapped up a busy U.S. summer tour and will finish off the season with a couple of festival gigs at Made In America, Music Midtown and Life Is Beautiful festivals throughout the month of September.

In addition to the album, fans can get a limited edition EP titled The Shade, which includes additional tracks "Too Bad, So Bad," "Cascades" and an exclusive cut titled "Office Towers Escalate."
