Bat For Lashes' Natasha Khan made her on stage debut as Sexwitch last night at the Green Man Festival in Wales. Her latest appearance was prefaced by a week long series of cryptic posts on Instagram reminiscent of hangman. Her initial hints to last night's performance with Toy were eagerly misinterpreted by the blogosphere as a possible album announcement.

Details related to the singer-songwriter's forthcoming studio album remain yet to be determined, leaving listeners to revisit the multi-talented performer's The Haunted Man which was released via Parlophone in 2012. An indie rock meets baroque pop masterpiece in its own rite, The Haunted Man, much like her debut LP, Fur and Gold, gave listeners a glimpse into the vivid interiors of Khan's lyricism and lush narratives. Memorable tracks like "Daniel," "All Your Gold" and her cover of Son Lux's "Plan The Escape," which was featured on the soundtrack for part one of The Hunger Games' Mockingjay, has managed to keep fans content despite the relative radio silence in regards to future projects.

Teaming up with kraut rockers Toy and producer Dan Carey (who worked on Bat For Lashes' last studio album), her recent set with the band, according to the Italian music blog Sentire Ascoltare, included "Ho Howa" and "Ghorooba," along with four additional songs. Although yeterday's performance marked the first public performance of Sexwitch, it was not Toy and Khan's first collaboration. Khan teamed up with the band earlier this year to record a cover of Amir Rassaei's "The Bride" for a the Zendooni: Funk, Psychedelia and Pop from the Iranian Pre-Revolution Generation compilation which was also released as a 7" single.

Keeping with the mystery that prefaced the group's inaugural set, details related to whether Sexwitch's setlist is the tentative tracklist for a imminent full length have yet to surface.
