Apparently, Jerry Heller isn't the only person who seems to have an issue with their portrayal in the film Straight Outta Compton. In the past few days, Heller has hinted at litigation after seeing the N.W.A. biopic.

Although Heller has been notably tight-lipped in regards to the film, he offered up a comment suggesting that a lawsuit may come from the movie's release. Heller dropped the subtle bomb while speaking with the L.A. Times.

“Well, my only comment so far is that I think it’s inappropriate for me to comment on a movie that I haven’t seen,” he said. “I did see it on Saturday, and I’m still not willing to comment right now on that movie because I think sooner or later it may be part of an ongoing litigation.”

Heller's insinuation builds on previous comments made to TMZ.

“Until I see the film, I’m not going to comment on it," Heller said. "I’ll be there Thursday night in the first row with at least two of my lawyers, and we’ll see if I like it or not."

In the film, Heller is portrayed as a divisive business figure by a convincing Paul Giamatti. The group's financial mismanagement and ultimate disbandment are greatly attributed to Heller's seemingly shady business affairs. However, Heller has his own version of those events, many of which are included in his 2006 autobiography, Ruthless: A Memoir.

To no one’s surprise, Heller was not invited to the interview sessions held by the film's screenwriters prior to production.

“I was given a list of people that they recommend I speak with,” Andrea Berloff explained, “and he was not on it.”

Former Death Row label head and Heller's nemesis in the film, Suge Knight, recently shared similar sentiments regarding his portrayal in the film. Knight's lawyer, Thomas Mesereau, told TMZ the portrayal is inaccurate, noting that his client is a college graduate and was a star athlete.
