Legal troubles continue to cloud former Miss Nevada Katherine Rees, and she's found herself in handcuffs once again. Rees and her boyfriend, Kevin "DJ Kulprit" Sims, were pulled over for a traffic stop in Las Vegas on Tuesday (Sept. 1) and unfortunately for them, a variety of drugs were later found in the car by police. The beauty queen was arrested on five new drug-related charges including felony possession of methamphetamine.

According to the Las Vegas Sun, police reportedly pulled the couple over for a routine traffic stop at a 7-11 near Las Vegas Boulevard South and East Pebble Road. While asking Sims, who was behind the wheel of the car, a few questions, the officer noticed a smell very similar to marijuana. When asked if there were any drugs or weapons in the car, Sims apparently hesitated, causing the officer to ask them to step out of the car.

After searching Sims, who has three outstanding traffic warrants, police found a jar of liquid believed to be a date rape drug known as GHB, sometimes referred to as "liquid ecstasy." While Rees was found with a collection of paraphernalia like rolling papers, two smoking pipes, a canister with a substance police believed to be marijuana, Xanax, Oxycontin and meth.

Police also found a scale, baggies, a box containing unknown pills and capsules and a bag on Sims that tested positive for cocaine and meth. Sims is reportedly looking to take full responsibility for any drugs found in the rented vehicle, assuring the police that anything found in the car belonged to him so Rees shouldn't receive any of the blame.

It's been a bumpy road for the 31-year-old beauty pageant winner. In 2006, she was stripped of her crown when sexually explicit photos of her and Sims surfaced on the Internet. In July, Rees was charged with four felony counts for the alleged possession and distribution of methamphetamine last year. A Las Vegas Justice Court spokeswoman revealed she was released on a hefty $10,000 bond and was closely monitored after her release.

Sims is being charged with multiple counts including felony trafficking methamphetamine, felony trafficking GHB and felony cocaine possession. Rees is currently being held on bail for $9,000. Her attorney Warren J. Geller, has yet to make a comment on the case.
