It's been a while, but Joe Jonas is back making new music. Last night, the former Jonas Brothers member introduced his new band DNCE to the world, with a disco and sex fueled new track "Cake by the Ocean."

"Cake by the Ocean" premiered on radio station Z100 on Monday (Sept. 14) and hit the Internet shortly after.

While his brother (and former bandmate) Nick Jonas has been setting fire to the charts with sizzling R&B tracks such as "Jealous" and "Levels," Joe Jonas maintained much of the pop-rock flavor of the Jonas Brothers while building on the sound with mature, sensual lyrics and littered with plenty of expletives.

"Talk to me baby / I'm going this sweet craving, woah / Let's lose our minds and go f*cking crazy / I keep on hoping we'll eat cake by the ocean," Jonas sings in the punchy chorus with a piercing, '70s channeling falsetto, backed by funk-fueled guitars, handclaps and a twisted hook that will worm its way into your head for days.

DNCE marks Jonas' first return to the world of music (beside a few DJ gigs) since the Jonas Brothers parted ways in late 2013. As Entertainment Weekly reports, Jonas formed the band with the help of JinJoo Lee (guitar), Cole Whittle of Semi-Precious Weapons (bass) and former Jonas Brothers drummer Jack Lawless.

DNCE is Jonas' new band, but it's not his first project outside of his former group the Jonas Brothers. In 2011, he released the solo album Fastlife.
