New York Fashion Week is notoriously competitive and Die Antwoord's fiesty rapper Ninja was not happy when Lady Gaga appeared in the front row of Alexander Wang's presentation in a bleach blonde wig with baby bangs, transferring his rage over what he considered to be a copy-cat hairstyle into an Instagram post.

The NYFW controversy began when Ninja posted a close-up photo of Lady Gaga front row immediately after the Alexander Wang show to his Instagram account. Bullet reported that the caption read "an this iz exactly why we diss this fuktard parasite biter b*tch #gagaNYfashionweek." Ninja clearly made the snap conclusion that her look was ripped off from bandmate Yolandi Visser, who has had a similar hairstyle for years.

This is also not the first round of shots that have been fired between Die Antwoord and Mother Monster on social media. Billboard reported an incident in 2012 where she called out the South African rappers on their lack of hit singles after a character dressed in her signature meat dress was killed off in the "Fatty Boom Boom" music video from their sophomore album Ten$ion.

In the music video a Lady Gaga doppleganger in the infamous "meat dress" is devoured by a lion and has a king cricket removed from her lady bits in one shot. Supposedly, the appearance in the music video was an insulting response to Gaga's request to the band to be the opening act on her tour multiple times. Her snippy response to their diss was "I fink you freaky but you don't have a hit. Hundred thousand tickets sold in South Africa #thatmysh*t." Perhaps Die Antwoord is simply looking to stir up press at one of New York's biggest events.
