Just one day after his Stories collaboration with Zac Brown Brown, "Broken Arrows," Avicii, real name Tim Bergling, has unveiled the next track from his True followup, "Ten More Days."
The Swedish producer calls upon UK singer, songwriter Zak Abel to provide some soulful and gritty vocals as Avicii helps craft a very non-EDM instrumental. Heavily influenced by blues and country, Avicii adds noted of dance with some piano, soft percussion and the occasional arpeggio, but it is largely left to real instruments like acoustic and electric guitars.
Bergling has been pushing to go more organic with his sound and this is the most we have seen Avicii move in that direction.
Avicii will release his forthcoming album Stories in just two days on Friday Oct. 2.
"Ten More Days" is the fifth single to emerge from Bergling's new album Stories. He has already unveiled his Zac Brown Band collab "Broken Arrows," as well as made his directing debut for two singles "For A Better Day" and "Pure Grinding." Earlier in the year, he shared his single with Martin Garrix and Cherry Ghost frontman Simon Aldred, "Waiting For Love."
