About a month ago, rumors circulated that Cloud Nothings' Dylan Baldi and Wavves' Nathan Williams would be combining their talents to record a full-length album. Now, that collaboration has been confirmed.

In an interview with Exclaim, Baldi revealed that he has been writing and recording with Williams for the last ten days in Los Angeles. He said that they are pretty much finished.

"I woke up one morning hungover in Paris, which is where I usually live, and I just had a text on my phone that was like, 'Yo, wanna make a record together?'" Baldi told them of the project's genesis. "I was like '...Okay!' And that was it. It sounded fun."

He mentioned that they've recorded "eight good ones" and that their sound isn't quite like either of their respective bands. "More between, and also not the things either of us do. It's between and [there's] also another element that wasn't present in either of our music before."

As for when the project will be released, Baldi responded,"I think they'll be out there somewhere. We have to do something with them. Working with him has been super easy. Everything we do is like -- I'll play something and he'll be like, 'That's cool,' and then he'll play something and I'll be like, 'That's cool, too.' There's never any kind of butting heads. It's easy."

In the meantime, Baldi's album with Cloud Nothings, Here and Nowhere Else, is streaming on NPR (due out April 1), and William's new mixtape from his beat-making side-project Sweet Valley is now available.
