Danielle Bradbery hasn't released any new details on an upcoming album, but her 2015 summer single "Friend Zone" has a new music video of her and her girlfriends playing kickball in a backyard and going for a dip in the pool.

The Big Machine-released video is playful, showing The Voice winner and her crew goes out for a night of hula hooping, kickball, long boarding and an afternoon in the pool. Maybe if the young 19-year-old country star was of age she'd be hitting up the Nashville honkytonks, but until then it's just a good wholesome night out with friends.

A starburst filter turns every shot into an evening in the country and the video certainly shows off the figure of Bradbery and her friends as they dance and swim in cut-off jean shorts.

However, there are some oddities in this video as well as the song, which was co-written by pop specialists Mikal Blue, Johan Lindbrandt and Shari Short. As the title would suggest, the lyrics of the song talk about a guy who is on a one-way track to getting in the friend zone, a place where both people are close but not dating.

"She's worth more than $3.99," Bradbery sings. "Tell her how you feel, she can't read your mind."

Yet the video is all about her close girlfriends and their fun times together. Not only that but the video constantly confuses sports metaphors, constantly interchanging football and baseball references.

She talks about scoring a "touchdown," "flying towards the endzone," and how "she got you on the sideline" as much as the "three strikes in love," how she'll come at you like a "curveball" and why he's "gotta step up to the plate with a bat."

Bradbery could just be a big fan of both sports, but then why is she playing kickball in the video? It's probably best not to overthink and just enjoy it for what it is. Check out the video below or buy the single over on iTunes.
