Fall Out Boy's "Irresistible" just got a little extra dose of confidence. On Friday (Oct. 16) ahead of the rock band's upcoming Wintour with AWOLNATION, FOB teamed up with "Cool for the Summer" singer Demi Lovato to release a new version of its American Beauty/American Psycho single.
At first, it seems as though "Irresistible" has remained the same. The trumpets, the ominous bassline and those steady drums all remain in place. But, leading up to the first chorus, there's an added voice working with Patrick Stump's, and of course if belongs to Lovato.
She not only joins in on the "ohs," she also harmonized with Stump in the chorus. After not too long, Lovato gets two verses to herself. Her vocals actually do add texture to this track and show off that her big voice, which is usually reserved for ballads and pop, actually works perfectly for a big rock song.
Fall Out Boy released "Irresistible" to promote its winter 2016 tour. Tickets for the shows are on sale now.
