Kanye West is due to release the highly anticipated follow up to Yeezus this year, but that doesn't mean a new album won't come without a price to some fans. Today (March 31), LiveNation Australia announced that the "Bound 2" rapper has postponed his dates down under in order to work on his seventh studio album.

According to Consequence of Sound, West's originally scheduled Oceania dates for May have been pushed back to September so he can finish work on his new record, and it seems like it's not totally up to West. LiveNation cited "timing requirements" when announcing the postponed shows.

"Due to unexpected timing requirements to finish his highly anticipated new studio album, scheduled for a 2014 release, Kanye West regretfully announces the postponement of his upcoming tour dates in Australia," a statement said about the new show dates.

His engagement as a headliner for this year's Bonnaroo remains intact.

Tickets for West's May 6, 7, 10 and 11 shows will be honored at the new September dates.
