Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker dated "it girl" of the past Paris Hilton back in 2006, but in his new memoir Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death, and Drums, Drums, Drums he claims that he once almost dated "it girl" of now Kim Kardashian. The two apparently had some major chemistry, at least in his eyes.

In a new interview with US Weekly about some scenes in his memoir he details how he met Kardashian while in Amsterdam with his band +44 when he was dating Hilton and Kardashian was working as her assistant. He was reportedly immediately attracted to her.

"How could you not stare at Kim?" He said to the magazine, "Mind you, I enjoyed hanging out with Paris, but I love curvy girls. Kim was eye candy."

He also insisted that, "I was in no way disrespectful to Paris, but I couldn't keep my eyes off Kim."

He describes in the memoir that although it never became physical, the two did form a friendship and would often grab lunch together.

"We would go out to eat, just hang out," Barker further said to US and apparently he was one of the first people that Kardashian asked for reality TV advice since he had appeared on the 2005 show Meet The Barkers with ex-wife Shanna Moakler and their two children, 12-year old Landon and 9-year old Alabama.

In another interview with Complex about his new book, Barker also details how he has maintained a friendly relationship with Kardashian even after they drifted apart. He also expressed that he has no qualms with with Hilton but that they did not keep in touch.

"To this day, I don't see Paris for whatever reason, I just don't see her," he said to Complex.

He did, however, further elaborate on Kardashian, "I was very clear in my book saying that Kim was nothing but a sweetheart, and I have the utmost respect for her, and I can't say anything negative about her," and that he to this day doesn't know why they never hooked up.

These are only a few revelations from the new memoir, which was co-written with Rolling Stone editor Gavin Edwards and is available in bookstores now.
