October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so Australian electronic DJ/production duo NERVO have launched their own awareness campaign, TITTIES TITTIES YEAH (#TTY). As announced on the NERVO sisters' artist page, the first ladies of EDM are collaborating with the philanthropic lifestyle brand Electric Family to sell custom bracelets while sharing cancer prevention and early detection information with their fans via social media; they are also "teaming up with F*ck Cancer and hosting some parties where all the proceeds will go towards funding mammograms and providing free breast cancer screenings."

As EDM.com reports, the campaign is inspired by NERVO's mother's own diagnosis. Upon the Electric Family bracelet announcement, the sisters released the following statement explaining why they are so passionate about breast cancer prevention and early detection:

"In March of 2014 our mum was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer that was detected through a routine mammogram. 18 months later, she is doing great. We are so honored to now launch our TITTIES TITTIES YEAH (#TTY) campaign and partner with Electric Family to sell our custom NERVO bracelet. Early detection is so important in fighting this disease and therefore all of the proceeds will be going to www.letsfcancer.com to help fund mammograms and providing free breast cancer screenings. Thank you so much for your support.

Sincerely,

Liv & Mim

In the true spirit of cancer survivors and their families, NERVO have continued to kick ass as internationally renowned DJs through the launch of their #TTY campaign. The duo have continued to be among the only female artists on the DJ Mag Top 100 list (this year they're number 24). This past summer, they released their debut full-length album, Collateral, which features their collaboration with Niles Rodgers, Kylie Minogue, and Jake Shears of the Scissor Sisters, "The Other Boys." As reported by Thump when they premiered the track, German producer Teenage Mutants has remixed the track. Listen to it here:
