Many would speculate that the keys to a successful marriage are great communication, a lot of trust and sex. Actor Terry Crews thinks differently and decided that his marriage would grow even stronger and become more successful if he stopped having sex with his wife for 90 days. He reccomends a sexual fast for others couples too.

During a recent interview with Huff Post Live, the Everybody Hates Chris star shared his views on abstaining from sex for a full 90 days with wife, Rebecca Crews. A "90-day sex fast" is what the actor calls it and he says it changed his marriage. "I found that at the end of that 90 days ... I knew who she was, and it wasn't about let's go out because I know I'm gonna get some sex later," Crews said in the interview.

The former host of The World's Funniest stated that he gained the opportunity to actually sit down and talk with his wife and cuddle -- and that's it. "All relationship, all talk" was the outcome of the 90-day sex fast and he encourages other couples to try it. Crews explained how there is a desire for intimacy inside every man but most men tend to put up "big fronts" in their relationships that can sometimes block the relationship from growing.

He opened up about how men often hide their emotions and even hold back tears in those moments when they really want to cry, according to EUR.  "Guys all the time blink past sad moments, depressing moments," he explained to Huff Post. "Not everything should be funny, and I do a lot of that processing at home: today is a sad day, ingest it, work with it, and then go on, but if you don't, it comes out another way."

According to Crews, your relationship should not primarily be just about sex. When the focus is just on that, your relationship becomes that of an adult X-rated film. "You're not looking for porn." Crews explained during the interview. "You're looking for someone to know you and love you at the same time. That's all you want -- every man out there."

Could you make it through a 90-day sex fast in your relationship?
