Hollywood loves a good bromance--now, the latest budding male friendship is between pop singers Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran. While celebrating the release of Sheeran's concert film, Jumpers for Goalposts, fellow musician Justin Bieber stepped foot on the green carpet to show support for his buddy's special premiere. On a more professional note, Beiber credited his latest track with Sheeran as one of his favorites off of Purpose.

"We wrote a song together and basically it's one of my favorites on the album," Justin revealed to Capital FM. "It's just me and a guitar and basically that's how I started. I started playing on the street with a guitar and so it's cool to go back to my roots." Beiber only had kind words to offer about the "Thinking Out Loud" singer to whom he describes as one of the "most talented writers in the game." The "Where Are U Now" singer further revealed that their joint writing efforts consisted of trading life stories.

"Just to have his input and have his stories and our stories, and being able to match them up together and say 'What have you been through?,' and telling the same story." Justin further explained. "And I think it's cool for him as well, because it always feels good when you write a song and someone else sings it, and he's just a real chill guy."

Just ahead of the "What Do You Mean?," unveiling, Sheeran took to Instagram in the midst of a slew of celebrity endorsements to promote the Bieber track, as MTV News notes. Sheeran posted a short clip in which he played a quick nod to the anticipated song with a piece of paper posted to his stomach that read "17 days," alluding to the countdown.

Sheeran will co-host the 2015 MTV EMA Awards with Orange is the New Black's Ruby Rose, in which he will allegedly take shots at his pal Bieber--all in good fun, of course. At least we know the 21-year-old pop star has skin tough enough to endure harsh treatment as he previously showed us by taking abuse on The Roast.
