Chelsea FC are the defending Barclays Premier League champions, though you wouldn't know it by looking at the current standings of the 2015/2016 season. Currently sitting in 15th place after a number of disappointing draws and losses, are we looking at reasons for manager Jose Mourinho to be sacked? As far as rumors go, the Portuguese "Special One" might get fired soon, despite apparent backing of owner Roman Abramovich. In fact, we have some possible replacements already lined up: Pep Guardiola, Diego Simeone, Carlo Ancelotti and Guus Hiddink. Read more on this and take part in our special poll below!

According to The Daily Mail, rumors are saying that Mourinho has basically one week to save his job. Chelsea face Stoke City this week in the Capital One Cup and then Liverpool FC in a Premier League game. We know that fans of Mourinho will be paying close attention to the Blues this week, but if things go sour, there are allegedly a few top choices to replace him already (via Daily Star).

Depending on what publications you're reading, there are a number of "front runners" for the job out there, but the four names currently involved are Bayern Munich's Guardiola, Atletico Madrid's Simeone, Ancelotti of Real Madrid and Dutch national team's Hiddink. Considering Hiddink is the only manager not currently at a top club, he's the most likely to take the job, depending on Mourinho's actual exit.

We can report on these rumors all week, but the decision really comes down to Abramovich who, according to The Sun, is backing Mourinho as his coach. These two have a great working relationship, so it wouldn't be an easy sacking if it came down to it.

Again, this week could give us answers.
