Exactly one year after his buzzworthy Monster mixtape, Future has seemingly decided to release a follow-up. The Atlanta-based rapper recently announced his intentions to release Monster 2. Future hinted at a second installment of Monster, captioning an Instagram post with the presumed mixtape title.

The post comes days after Future sent out a tweet indicating that he’s ready to release some new music.

Just before Halloween 2014, the “Where Ya At” rhymer released Monster, which ended up being one of three mixtapes that reawakened his fanbase and birthed a new slew of fans known on social media as the “#FutureHive.”

This isn’t the first time Future gave word of another project to be released this year. During his set at Made In America, Future told the crowd that he will be releasing another album this year.

“We appreciate all the support. Y’all been turning up for us. It’s gonna be another album on the way before the year is out with. Just know we ain’t stopping,” he said during his performance.

In July, Future charted his first No. 1 album thanks to DS2. The album moved 131,500 actual albums, more than double what his sophomore album Honest sold during spring of 2014. The project easily took the title as Future's most successful album yet. DS2 was followed by What A Time to Be Alive, his joint album with Drake.

Aside from his newly-announced project, fans have also been anticipating his Mike WiLL Made-It-produced mixtape Ape Sh*t. Back in April, the Atlanta-based producer hinted at the collaborative mixtape, sharing the possible mixtape cover on Twitter. Since then, details about the tape have been limited.
