Harrison Ford sat down with late night talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel to open up about what he remembered of his tragic plane crash from back in March. Ford couldn't recall many details as he said he suffered a form of amnesia after the crash.  Ford appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show dressed in a full Halloween costume - a dog, wearing a hot dog suit.

Although his ensemble was humorous, the content of the conversation was anything but funny.  The 73-year-old actor spoke about the crash that could have taken his life and what little he remembered of it.  ET reported on the episode of the talk show, where Ford stated he remembered bits and pieces of the accident but he recounted clearly what happened with the engine.

"I remember some of it," he stated. "I remember the engine stopping. I remember that part very well."

The engine did stop, and lost power according to Huffington Post. After taking off from the Santa Monica Municipal Airport, Ford, who was piloting the plane, called in to report he was having engine problems and he wanted to return to the airport. With the engine losing power at the pace that it did, Ford was unable to make it back and was forced to crash land the plane on Venice's Penmar Golf Course, which according to Huffington Post, is about 800 feet away from the nearest runway.

Ford stated during the interview that phoning in to the tower to report the engine trouble and telling them what his plans were for landing the plane is the last thing he remembers from before the crash. According to Ford, he was told by the doctors that the amount of general anesthetic that he received during treatment induced a retrograde amnesia.

Aside from the amnesia, and minor bumps and bruises, injuries were non-life threatening. According to Huffington Post the "investigators will continue examining the 1942 vintage plane, its engine and flight controls."
