Over the holiday weekend, "No Scrubs" singers, TLC, became the topic of discussion after Twitter decided to host a #TLCISGoingToJailParty after their very successful Kickstarter campaign and no album. Back in February, the group raised a whopping $430K in just 3 days after surpassing their initial goal of $150K, and now fans are demanding to know the update of the album and just where their hard earned dollars went. After months of silence from Chili and T Boz, fans are now accusing the group of scamming fans out of their money and simply lining their own bank accounts with the funds.

What started out as the musings of a few twitter followers on Saturday (Oct 31st), grew to a full blow trending topic after it dawned on fans that remaining group members, Chili and T. Boz, had been dreadfully quiet since raising almost half a million dollars for their upcoming project back in February, even receiving a big donation from pop star, Katy Perry.

The result? Countless gifs, memes and commentary around TLC going to jail for defrauding fans out of their money.

The duo obviously got wind of the accusations and slander that they were the focal point of on Twitter, and quickly released a press release addressing the status of their new album. According to Bossip, TLC had the following to say about their upcoming project, "After seeing and greeting so many of you on our tour this summer, we took a short break and now we are in the studio recording our new album with Ron Fair, coming out in 2016. The music is coming out great and it's only with your support of TLC on Kickstarter that this is possible. We thank you and promise that we will continue rolling out all the Kickstarter prizes except the album by mid-October. We are moving the album back to 2016, so that we will have more time to finish the record the TLC way. Thanks as always for your love and support and we can't wait to deliver a new record and tour next year."

Are you ready to hear new music from the group? Apparently people on Twitter are very anxious to see the result of their donations .
