The cold reign of Frozen: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack continued on the Billboard 200 as the album topped the chart for the ninth week. Frozen moved another 149,000 copies, allowing it to come within one week of tying The Lion King's record for most weeks atop the chart for an animated film soundtrack. Frozen could easily tie the record next week, as there are few huge sellers in this week's new releases.

Something was different this week however: Frozen had competition. Australian pop rockers 5 Second of Summer narrowly missed the top spot with its EP She Looks So Perfect. The EP was bought up mainly by digital users, with 75 percent of its 143,000 sold copies coming via download.

Four more new albums started out in the Top 10, partially thanks to slow sales outside of Frozen and 5 Seconds. Chevelle remains relevant, moving 45,000 copies of its "La Gargola," and placing at no. 3 on the chart. It's the band's highest charting position to date. Christina Perri came in at no. 4, moving 40,000 copies of her album Head or Heart

The next debut comes in at no. 6, as Dan + Shay sold just less than 29,000 copies of its first album, "Where It All Began." Another country act (more bluegrass really) follows Dan + Shay as the last new entry for the week, as Nickel Creek comes in at no. 7 with A Dotted Line selling 27,000 copies.

As for returnees aside from Frozen, four additional titles stuck around for at least one more week. Shakira was denied a no. 1 spot last week by the reigning album, but her self-titled release came in at no. 5 with 29,000 in sales. That total moves her well over 100,000 in total sales for the record's first two weeks.

Johnny Cash is another debut from last week that stuck around. "Out Among The Stars" sold another 26,000 copies and placed at no. 8 among a flood of positive reviews. Pharrell Williams and G I R L has never been a headliner in the Billboard 200, but its consistent sales have kept it in the Top 10 for five weeks now. The album is at no. 9 with 25,000 units sold last week. Rounding off the list is NOW 49, which made a jump from no. 13 to no. 10, probably thanks to some sale somewhere. The album debuted during February but the recent jump added 20,000 copies to its sales total.
