Justin Bieber's new album Purpose will finally drop this week, but leading up to the big Nov. 13 release date, the pop superstar released two new songs at the top of the week. On Monday, Bieber released two of his biggest collaborations, the Ed Sheeran penned "Love Yourself" and the much-hyped Halsey collaboration "The Feeling."

Both songs tie together by focusing on the less romantic side of a relationship. As teased, "The Feeling" features Bieber and Halsey's voices asking whether "Am I in love with you or am I in love with the feeling?" The song features intense emotional vocals over a dark yet melodic EDM beat.

Meanwhile, the Sheeran collaboration "Love Yourself" just drips with the "Photograph" singer's aura. Musically, the song moves away from the big, glitzy production from the likes of Skrillex and features just Bieber's vocals and the occasional strums of a drippy, melodic electric guitar. The song is a biting ode to someone who Bieber used to love and hang around with (an ex-girlfriend? his old lackeys?), and Bieber goes IN. We haven't heard lyrics this blunt since, well, Sheeran's "Don't."

"My mamma don't like you, and she likes everyone / And I don't like to admit that I was wrong / And I've been so caught up in my job / Didn't see what's going on, but know I know / I'm better sleeping on my own / 'Cause if you like the way you look that much / Baby, you should go and love yourself," he sings. The dichotomy of Bieber's breezy, casual singing style and the anger of these lyrics is pretty amusing.

Purpose will be released on Nov. 13.
