José Gonzalez has announced a new US tour in March of 2016 with New York City-based chamber sextet yMusic. The Swedish folk musician has been touring almost non-stop since the release of his February album Vestiges & Claws.

The tour will have a bit of a different feel for Gonzalez who is used to doing shows with a backing band with percussion and vocals. This will be all instrumental and utilize softer, classical arrangements of his music.

"After a year of touring with a band focused on percussion and vocals I look forward to playing many of the same songs in a different style," says José in a statement. "I'm very excited to go on tour with yMusic! I love their setup and taste in arrangements, being six super talented musicians playing strings, flute, clarinet and trumpet, it feels like it opens us up from sounding energetic and avant-garde to classic and delicate."

yMusic previously collaborated with José on a ten-song set of arrangements at Lincoln Center's Out of Doors festival in Damrosch Park in Summer 2014.

The tour kicks off in Seattle on March 6 before down the West Coast and across the United States with dates in Denver, Los Angeles, Chicago, Milwaukee, New York City and ending in Washington DC. Check out the full list of tour dates below. Pick up your tickets on his website here
