Justin Bieber's team has decided to hire extra security for his L.A. events after the Paris attacks. Although a great number of bands have been canceling shows in the wake of the tragedy, Bieber just dropped his latest album, Purpose, this past Friday (Nov. 13) and kicked of its release with his event, "An Evening With Justin Bieber," at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

This event is but one in a series of promos for Purpose that are scheduled for the upcoming week. It wouldn't be a good time for Bieber to cancel anything, so extra security measures are reportedly being put in place.

His initial promotional event began at 2:30 PM PT right when the news of the Paris attacks was hitting the U.S. One of the tragedies was a shooting at an Eagles of Death Metal show that left 118 people dead. Bieber didn't mention that attacks during his appearance but tweeted soon after, "Had a great first show but just heard about what happened in Paris. Thoughts and prayers with everyone."

Bieber additionally informed his fans on Twitter that the second event would be happening according to schedule and would "hopefully bring some light & hope to those hurting." Billboard reported that they viewed additional security and police officers arriving in order to adequately protect the pop star in case of any disturbances.

His long-awaited third album, Purpose, is now available on Spotify. In support of the album, he will also be going on tour beginning in early March (Mar. 9) and the pre-sale began last week on EllenTV.com. It is said that it will be a tour that begins in Seattle, moves through the U.S. and Canada and has its final culmination in New York City.

The young singer has not embarked on a tour in three years so it's likely to sell well. It remains to be seen if the extra security will continue throughout the tour, but at least for now, his team is taking every precaution.
